Probably the number one game on the PC and Pocket PC is something that comes with every machine. That game would be Solitaire and more recently Freecell. I’ve lost track of the amount of time I’ve spent on them, so when I saw One for all Solitaires, I was completely blown away. Not only did Solitaires include Solitaire and Freecell, it also includes over 200 other card games, including my number one favorite, Golf.

The great thing about this game, is also it biggest downfall. I’ve had this game on my Pocket PC for over a year, yet in all that time, I’ve only really played 4 different games of the 200+ on offer. Maybe that’s not quite a downfall, but don’t let the quantity of games be the basis of your buying decision.

With all that put aside though, the playing experience is just as it should be. Gameplay is fast and the graphics are crystal clear. You can select any of the 200 games from a list, or you can add any of the games to your favorites list for easy selection. For all the games you can view the basic rules to get you going and each game provides simple statistics. You can also select from 8 different card styles and can customize the table you are playing on.

Conclusion : One for all Solitaires is a well polished piece of software. With over 200 different card games to choose from, that works out at a little less than 8.5 cents a game, but don’t let that influence you. Download the trial version and make sure you are going to get value for money. At $17.45 for the full version, it’s slightly more expensive than I would like, but if you find feel it offers enough for you, go ahead and buy it.
